Political system


Uruguay is a parliamentary republic, the parliament is composed of the House of Representatives and the Senate, which members are elected by direct universal suffrage, every 5 years.
The President of the Republic can be elected only once, there is no Prime Minister and the executive power is exercised by the president and the Council of Ministers.
The opposition is essentially represented by the Frente Amplio.

Most restaurants in Uruguay are Grill restaurants: indeed Beef is the main ingredient for the preparation of all dishes in Uruguay.
