Customs duties

The custom duties are imposed on imported or exported goods. It is especially the imports which are taxed and these are small taxes levied on exports in general. The tax rate applied to most of the products is 10%. However, luxury products are subjected to 50% excise duty. Moreover, there is a 0.5% tax on all imported products which are not originating in a country which is a member of UEMOA.
