The currency is the Talar or SIT. International credit cards are usually accepted.

Offices open from 7.30 AM or 8 AM to 3 PM.

Road


The condition of the road network is satisfactory and the conditions of traffic are good. The behaviour of the local drivers can be dangerous especially on the main and secondary roads. Since May 1st, 1998, speed is limited inside and outside cities.

Satisfactory, the duration of journeys is rather long.

Languages spoken


Slovene, which is spoken by 88% of the population, is the official language of Slovenia. Among the linguistic minorities are the Croats, Serbs and Italians. Minority groups also use Hungarian, German, Frioulan, Macedonian, Albanian as well as Tsigan languages. Finally, we should note that none of these minority languages exceeds 3% of the population. Otherwise, in business, the population usually speaks English and sometimes German or Italian.
