Currency
The currency is the Swedish krona, 1 krona = 100 Ore (aures). ISO code is SEK It is issued in coins of 50 aures and 1, 5 and 10 krona and in bills of 20, 50, 100, 500 to 1000 kronas. The Swedish krona is not an euro currency.

Banks open from Monday to Friday from 9AM to 3PM and in big cities to 4 or 5.30 PM some days.
Transportation
Road
To go out is safe in towns. In Stockholm, avoid walking down the streets in the evening in some specific places located in downtown and in suburbs with bad reputations (violence, drugs). The roads conditions are excellent. In winter, the network is subject to frequent clearings (sand, salting, snowplough). On the other hand, sidewalks are badly cleared and slippery. Driving on the right side of the road and headlights must be turned on day and night. Snow tyres are compulsory from November 1st to April 30th. Respect parking spaces reserved for disabled persons and the rule of ten metres to be left free in every urban crossroads. Authorized maximal speed: 50 km/h in town, 90 to 110 km/h on road and 110 km/h on highway.
