Currency
The currency is the Norwegian krone or NOK.
Business hours
Norwegian people begin to work at 8 AM but they go back home at 4 or 4.30 PM. You will not have any business appointment after 3.30 PM , except in rare occasions. As for meals, Norwegians do not lunch.
Transportation
Road
The road network is correct and is relatively developed in the south half and more limited in the north half of the country. There is no motorway network but "express" ways on which the speed is limited to 80 or 90 km/h. Tolls are frequently located at the entrance of big cities or right before road works. The access to "private" roads is possible on payment of a right. Climatic conditions make the traffic more difficult over the winter.
Rail
It connects the main cities. Trains are rather slow. There are no lines beyond Bodo.
Air
The network is rather dense and serves the main cities (Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Kristiansand, Trondheim, Tromso) with daily connections.

Official languages: Bokmal and Nynorsk. The majority of Norwegians speak one of the two official Norwegian languages of the country: Bokmal (about 80%) and Nynorsk (about 17.5%). As far as national minorities are concerned, they speak Same (previously called Lapon), Roma, or Finnish. It is important to note that at least 97% of the population use one of the two variants of Norwegian. Bokmal is generally used in urban centers. Nynorsk is more frequently used in rural areas.
