Radio and television broadcasting services in Malta are under the supervision and control of the Broadcasting Authority.
Established in September 1961, the Broadcasting Authority is an independent statutory body appointed by the President of the Republic.
The Maltese Broadcasting Legislation is founded on the 1991 "Broadcasting Act".
