Agriculture

Jordan is totally dependent on climatic conditions. That is why, Jordan is essentially an importer of foodstuffs. The arable lands which are located in the Jordan valley, do not exceed 2% of the surface of the country. Grain farming is little developed and the number of fruit trees reached almost 2 millions, among which 40% for citrus fruits.

Farmland surface area:

The areas under cultivation include arable lands and those with permanent crops. They represent 390,000 hectares in Jordania.
