The Hungarian currency is the forint (HUF). It is issued in coins of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 Fts, and in notes of 100, 500, 1 000 and 5 000 Fts.

Official language: Hungarian. The mother tongue of almost all Hungarians is Hungarian. The proportion of non-Hungarian nationalities is low.
