Agriculture

German agricuture supplies with high quality foods and ecological raw materials. The farmers and the foresters administer more than 80% of the territory. One out of eight jobs depends directly or indirectly on agriculture. Germany is the fourth exporter of farm and food products in the world.

The areas under cultivation include arable lands and those with permanent crops. In Germany they represent 7,373,000 hectares.
