In the European Union, Belgium has the highest density of population after The Netherlands, and the most reduced surface, after Luxemburg.
In spite of a very important urbanization, Belgium keeps an extremely dynamic farming and horticultural sector which has succeeded to tap its means of production on a limited surface: soil, workforce, capital and know-how.
